How Computer Forensics Can Work You
Corporations and Small Businesses
Businesses of any size can benefit from computer forensics services.
Human resources, legal and security departments are often faced with
incidents involving computer use outside the scope of their
acceptable use policy. These incidents can range from
annoyance problems such as employee distraction on the Internet to
full-fledged liability issues of sexual harassment or even the
unauthorized distribution of intellectual property
Often, employment termination conflicts can either be prevented or
brought to an immediate end when the employee is confronted with
evidence found on the computer they've used. We can discreetly acquire
the contents of a hard drive and/or other media,
analyze the information and present you with a report of our
findings.
In some cases disgruntled employee's have deleted or password
protected mission-critical files before their departure. In
many cases we can recover passwords or un-delete files.
Don't just hand over your information! Before an obsolete
company computer is sold or given away make sure the hard drive is
really erased. Re-formatting or even partitioning is NOT
enough. The hard drive needs to be electronically "wiped" of
all data. We can completely erase the entire contents of a
hard drive before you release the computer.

Legal Professionals
The vast majority of business communication is generated
electronically -- chances are you've already come across a case
which could have used evidence obtained from a computer. Now
you know who to call...
Along with performing computer examinations, InSight Computer
Forensics can help you prepare for or respond to electronic
discovery requests. In some cases, data can be fragile and
perishable so its imperative to know what questions to ask so you
obtain the best evidence possible. (back to top)
Private Investigators
Whether its a divorce case, runaway or business theft case, if the
evidence you need is on a computer we can get it.
A computer can yield an enormous amount of information about its
use. Internet activity, email, and chat room logs are just
some of the items "left behind". Many conflicts come to a
quick end when the involved parties are faced with evidence of their
wrong doing based on facts established from a computer forensics
examination. (back to top)
Individual
Computer Owners
You need to know how your computer has been used, the information is
there, you just can't get to it -- we can.
A computer can be a powerful information and communication tool and
sometimes this power can be abused by spouses, children or roommates.
If you need to know if your computer has been used inappropriately
we can help you make that decision by analyzing computer activity. (back to top)
